In my studio/everything room - which originally would have been a dining room in this house - there are 3 standard 2-receptacle outlets.
Consider:
2 desk lights, 1 floor light, 1 lava lamp, 1 LED light rope
computer
printer
video monitor
audio interface
powered backup harddrive
2 powered monitor speakers (1 plug each)
Computer powered speakers (1 plug)
Sony power amp (drives a couple of bookshelf speakers)
phone charger

Stuff that isn't plugged in 24/7:
Window fan (summer)
Casio keyboard
Guitar amp(s)
Guitar pedals/adapters

There's also a dining hutch with built-in lights - but no way to plug it in short of an extension cord running along one wall or up to the ceiling and back down again.

This is in a room that's approximately 10'6" x 11'6". What I wouldn't give for more room and more outlets!

Flooring is being installed tomorrow. I'll then be left with installing baseboards this weekend. Then I can move my stuff in!

Floors look good. Only the baseboards to go. Hopefully, I'll be starting the move in next week! Pics to come when the baseboards are finished.

Thanks! The desk will be delivered tomorrow and I already have a chair and couch from Craigslist. Then the guitars and recording gear starts getting moved in.

I hope to start on the sound treatment in the next week or so. I can't wait to get back into recording and songwriting!

Todd

Looks fantastic and heaps of room for the go-go dancers too.
Believe me, I'm jealous.

The room needs a pole for the go-go dancers.
Get the one in bearings so that it spins.

Fantastic Todd, are you planning on something like big rugs on the floor?

If this was my Man Cave, my wife would move two unused exercycles, a big cedar chest and all her clothes that don't currently fit "but they might fit someday". Oh, and the plastic Christmas tree, assorted decorations and fifteen boxes of old photos.

But, hey, this is about you. Great job.

I have a sort of attic space above the man cave. She can put her crap up there...
