Saskatchewan government to teach teens how to kiss

Few issues divide public opinion as sharply as the question of sex education in schools. And while educators and parents argue over how much information young people need to stay healthy, the province of Saskatchewan is going one step further by including a controversial guide that teaches teens how to be good kissers.
"Learning how to be a good kisser will set our teens up for success later in life."- Leanne Rielhuck, Saskatchewan Ministry of Education
In her interview with Pat Kelly, the director of the kissing program, Leanne Rielhuck stated: "Our study shows that unemployment rates are directly related to kissing."

When asked if she sympathized with disapproving parents, Rielhuck responded by saying: "No, these kids are going to kiss no matter what and it is better that the government of Saskatchewan teaches them how to do it properly."

Ironic that a church picnic would have a booth that is essentially a mild form of prostitution. Was the girl over 18, or was it a mild form of pedophilia too?
How many old codgers were standing in line for their turn at a nubile young thing?

I'm no prude, but I do find it odd and a bit creepy for all parties involved.

Why would any girl volunteer for something like that? Having to kiss every yahoo that has a dollar...not to mention the potential for catching and spreading every virus that is in season.

No codgers. It was a youth group. We were all in the same age group, and we were all friends.

It was voluntary.

Please, no kiss control posts. That isn't what this is about.

Very true. Isn't kissing an essential part of "the pursuit of happiness"?

Kissing etiquette, its good form and life-enhancing attributes. What's next in Canada's good-sense-public-education emphasis on the benefits of proper interpersonal swapping of body fluids?

Nothing is heard of our northern neighbor that shows its progressiveness in the world related to being in the world but we have this to thank them for.

Snogging on the back row of the cinema ...

In the words of Maurice Chevalier, "Ah yes, ah remember it well ..."

Disclaimer: I did not, I hasten to add, snog my way through 'Schindler's List'!

very well, done, everyone, now it's time for level 2 (see the eisenhower quote thread).

by the way, i heard this news story when it was passed along from a friend. he heard it on the radio. as it turns out, the radio show he heard it on (this is that) is a satirical news program, and so the kissing agenda isn't really going to happen. oh well. mouthwash sales did spike momentarily.

I'm not going to say anything bad about it because I'm the one contracted to teach "one side" of it...
