WOW Mark!! That finish is just beyond a perfect match for a Tree with that pallet. I don't think I've seen a burst finish on a Tree guitar but it's genius. So happy to see these beauties being built right here in the Granite State. If feel my 50th birthday Custom may be a NH original. Someday soon, we will meet...

Rescon, my 53rd birthday present to myself was a Hatcher guitar. Doesn't get much better than that. Mark is phenomenal to work with and you will be amazed with what he does with wood.

Hi Nick,

Thanks for your compliments. I haven't seen the "Tree" with a sunburst either but, I thought it would compliment the coloring of the mahogany and all of the Cocobolo trim work. I wanted to zip this one up with a hot look and I'm thinking it's working out really well!
I'd be happy to help you out with the birthday you've got coming. You are less than an hour away so it's an easy ride for a visit to the shop. I'd be more than happy to give you a tour and show you what I've currently got going on. I'm always here, just give me a call!

Thanks,
Mark

Jon,
Thanks for the recommendation!

Default Back from Finisher

I got the guitar back last Friday. I'm very happy with the burst and am also very happy with how the neck came out. Looking at this neck makes me think a finished neck like this would go with a lot of wood combinations even if there wasn't a burst on top. Here are some pics. I'll post more as I get it pieced together this week:

The mahogany really lit up. It just shimmers when it moves in the light.

Thanks for looking!
Mark

Burst looks gorgeous. And the hog looks really special. Another winner Mark.
