R L Mattingly 640 scale, built 1990, made in Cal.
Brazil rosewood back and sides, Cedar top, Ebony finger board,Honduras mahogany neck, Nylon strings. No pickup, no repairs, custom 640 scale.
String width at nut 1.732, string spacing at nut,.300 spacing at bridge .425.
There is a small crack across the back at the top, was there from Mattingly, It is not a large crack and is not instantly visable, original owner was given the choice of taking as is or wait 8 to 10 months for another build, if he did not want it there was a buyer who would take it as is for full price, opted to take as is, does not affect tone or playability, will be represented in the picture's (upon request). This crack is still the same size as the day it was born, was told ( by Mattingly ) to just put a piece of scotch tape over the crack to keep dust out and it will never get bigger.This is a rare build by a maker who did not make a lot of guitars. Comes in nice custom fit nylon covered hard case, from Mattingly.
