Fender Acoustic Pro 200W 1x12 AMP?
I just saw one from Musician's friend amp section.

That looks like a good amp, I can't understand what it needs 200 watts for.
And, they don't mention it's weight either. A plywood exterior seems kind of light weight for an amp this expensive. I want to hear what they sound like. |

I have never minded 200 watts on my Carvin AG300. As to the wood exterior, I think they are taking styling cues from Schertler. I think their previous acoustic amps looked too much like electric amps and the new look will help them sell more amps. We consumers are a fickle lot.

Making it look more like furniture because the target customer is a 'play at home' guy? The reason for metal/plastic corner reinforcement and Tolex exteriors is so they don't look like crap after a few months of gigging.
I give them credit for putting a sweepable mid on the EQ. Why no master volume, though? 200 watts through a single 12" speaker? Interestingly, I can't find any info on this amp at Fender.com! I suspect the 200W is peak capacity.
