James Taylor -- fantastic guitar lessons -- new Olson?
I just viewed the lessons on James Taylor's website and these are among the best instructional videos I've seen.
http://www.jamestaylor.com/guitarlessons/ Also, not sure if it's old news, but I noticed he now plays a more recent Olson SJ -- so that's at least four Olsons in his collection that I can recall. |

Hi Joe,
I don't know if that Olson is new or not, but the lesson is nice. James comes across like a father or big brother in the lesson -- it's nice, I think. Stick a capo on the guitar up about fret 5 or 6 and play that progression and you end up with "Blossom" from his first album. Dang, that guitar sounds good, doesn't it? Thanks for the link, Joe! Maybe JT is going to start coming out with some instructional videos -- that would be nice! - Glenn |

Really cool. Wonder how they affixed the camera inside of the guitar for that unique upshot.

Didn't see your thread and just posted this myself. Fun stuff.

I like the camera that gives you the "player's view" of the fretboard. It is quite helpful.

That guitar sounds nice indeed. I certainly don't own any guitar that sounds like that... JT is going to release several videos in the next few months. Great stuff for all of his fans. |

For many years he was seen with his two "old" Olsons. I know he also owns a Parlor but this is the first time I see JT with a more recent Olson SJ. |

I've seen Mr. Taylor twice in concert.
Once with Carole King and once with his son Ben Taylor. He is one of the most humble, fine gentleman you'll ever have the pleasure to see perform. He always thanks the audience for coming, as he says " I have to be here, you don't". Pure class. And yes, his guitar lessons are very cool and another way he is giving back to his fans.

Thanks for sharing the info and link. Very nice lessons, and some good tips for playing JT's tunes. Love the camera angles as well.
