Default Suggestions on pickup to meet my needs

Howdy,
I'm picking up a Katoh solid top cedar guitar tomorrow. I'd like to add a pickup to it.
When I was originally thinking of getting a classical guitar I was only going to get a laminated top and planned to use a Fishman Presyblend 301 off eBay.

But now that I got such a good deal on this solid top guitar I'm not sure I want to cut a hole in the side.

So far I'd like something that's simple and sounds good. I'm not after the best but I don't want to either have crap sound or have to use expensive external preamps etc.

One caveat. I bought a lyric for
My main gigging guitar and for a moment
I thought I was happy with it until I heard the live recording back. It's been a year long struggle. Maybe it would work good in a classical guitar and I could put something like a K&K mini in my main guitar.

Otherwise I'd like to keep it to a low budget solution.

Thanks for any advice.
