Yeah, buddy! Nice tight, clean joints in that maple binding/butt wedge.
Not easy to do. Kudos.

Thanks so much StringMeUp, Steve, David, and Gregg. I have had that sapele in my wood pile for quite a few years, so I was glad to finally get to use it. I was pleased with how it paired up with the curly maple. Great little guitar.

Thank you, Pete!

Heard from my customer tonight. He said he has played the guitar 7 or 8 hours over the past two days and has really enjoyed hearing the guitar get its voice. That is a really cool and personal thing about a new guitar.

Mr. Casper, that is a very pretty guitar. Nice work! By the way, it has been far too long since we enjoyed a hamburger together.

Surprised to see a note in my inbox that this old thread had some new activity. Interesting timing. This guitar is now in Japan, and it's owner reached out to me a couple of weeks ago and said the guitar still looks and sounds great.

Thanks NowGibson for the complement! I'd like to think the guitar sounds even better now

Okay JamieJoon, I have been wracking my brain to remember who in San Rafael I know that I have had a burger with, and I am sorry, but I can't remember!

Unfair of me, since it was a very long time ago! Big hint: we worked together in San Francisco.

Well, let's see the most likely may be a Jamie E that I worked with at GATX. I believe he used to live in the Mill Valley area, so close. Would you be that Jamie?

Hi Ken! I hope you've been doing well. I knew you appreciate fine motorcycles, but did not know you were a guitar nut...er, I mean, aficionado. If your work takes you back to SF, please let me buy you a burger! Jamie

Haha! Guess I got the right Jamie! Hello!! Great to know you out there. Been a long time indeed! I didn't realize you were a picker! Funny small world. I don't visit here much. In fact, I hadn't been on here in weeks until the notice popped up this thread had been revisited. Time is so limited, but I'll be retiring from the day gig in middle of next year, and I will probably be a more frequent visitor. Will be nice to have more time in the shop to whittle down my build queue a bit.

Haven't been to the Bay Area in quite a few years. Definitely due for a trip back.

Ken
