I loved that medley! Great job, and very indicative of the "spectrum" of styles indeed!

I've put a bone saddle it (big upgrade, lol I think the blank was about $5) and lowered the setup a bit to something a lot closer to my steel strings. I've got a bit of gas for a Cordoba 45R, but only until I play the 55R, LOL.

I have to find one of those to play. I played a 45R the other day and I really liked it.

Can you tell me more about where to find such a strap + the D'addario connection? Thanks, Marcel

Hi Marcel,
my favorite strap is the Long Hollow Leather 3" Softy http://www.longhollowleather.com/catalog_premier.htm It has the detachable counter-strap which I use for stability, it doesn't take a whole lot of space when rolled up, it's soft, nice, and supple, and I'd rather have a wide strap than a padded strap anyways. The D'Addario quick release thingie is not always easy to find — I tend to hoard them when I see them in music stores. However, it's also not absolutely necessary - you can secure the strap at the headstock with a piece of string, it just would be a bit more "permanent." I actually leave mine attached (at the headstock) all the time, just roll it up and store it under the headstock in the case. In any case, some Internet dealer who offer int'l shipping might have both (I get my straps from Shoreline Music, you might sent John an email and ask him about the D'Addario, if he has/can get any, to save on shipping).

To pick up the line of these posts....this classical music/a great performer is of course something I get my inspiration from. Carlo Marchione is a terrific player. I met him a few times in Rotterdam.
This is a live recording from Moscow. The sound quality isn't that good. But it doesn't matter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpTmogFPXaw You must watch the whole 10 minutes!!

Here's another forum member recording... I just posted this on You Tube a couple a days ago, but I've been working on it for months. I'm using my Sand Nylon-Electric Crossover on this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAF_fxCJzbo
