Another ukulele
Anyone have the Kala KA-TE? What are you thoughts on it?
I want to get another ukulele. Preferably an acoustic/electric so I can play gigs with it. I posted a little while back about installing a pick up in my current uke (Kala KA-SCG) which has a solid top. But it seems like it could be kind of costly for only a $150 uke. Plus, I think a tenor would be more ideal for gigging since its slightly bigger. Which means its louder more bassy and easier to play. I've been looking at the Kala KA TE, and it seems really nice. I'm just not a fan of the satin finish and laminate top, which is a step down from my current uke. But it seems good enough for what I need it for. Anyways, has anyone ever played one? How are they? How's the fit and finish? How's the sound? |

I had a KA for about a week. Didn't play it much. But then I bought it for a buddy for Christmas. Gave it to him today.

It's ok but not great. Have you checked out Mainland ukes? And I'm a big Pono fan as well.
