Thanks everyone, I'm glad you like my work!
Actually I'm using a single CF rod nowadays. I've been looking for a source for over a year and I finally found one who doesn't have a minimum order amount of 300 pcs The rods I use now are 9,5x13mm. Per |

Thanks for weighing in with that Per. Good to know. Maybe we can see a picture for the build thread?
Matthew, they sound like they will be pretty close in spec. It would be a pleasure to get them both together sometime in the future to see. About the relic tuners, just a lark? Can't wait to see the next updates. The ones on Frank's guitar are really something!

You should have gone for a order of 300 Per. They'd have made great skewers for meat if you ever short at a BBQ. |

Wow! Rosette is awesome. For my Marklund OM 28 we went with ebony rod and bar frets for that real authentic feel. So excited!

All right.
That will be four in this batch w/ bar frets. Three with Ebony truss and 1 without a truss rod at all. I couldn't resist on the 0M.
I am going with t frets and Carbon fiber rod for the 00-42 and the D-45S though.

We were considering CF and bar frets but it seemed uncharted territory. I bet it would work fine though. Hopefully some luthiers will chime in.

I've done a couple and it works fine. It's an added measure of stability for the neck that may or may not be necessary, depending on the care of the guitar provided by the player. Hard to say if there is a discernible difference in tone between the carbon fiber, the ebony rod, and no reinforcement at all. I think I can hear the difference, but I may be fooling myself as I have a preference for 30's style bar fret guitars.

Looks pretty much perfect to me. Your builds have inspired my vision for mine coming up here in the next batch. Just picked out my wood last night! Such clean work....aesthetics are tough to beat from Per. The tone isn't bad too if you believe testimonials.

Compression fretting by it's nature addresses any relief issue that's present on the fretboard/neck. The use of carbon fiber will tend to make a refret much easier as it's more stable than an ebony reinforced neck and more predictable. Per does beautiful work and I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product. |

I'm patiently waiting updates as well. We're in neck measurement territory.
