Default Where to sell carbon guitar?

I am selling a carbon guitar, and have posted on this Forum, The UnofficialMartinGuitar Forum, McNicol's Forum, eBay and will add Craigslist today.

Anyone have any suggestions as to where else I might post a sale for a mint carbon guitar?
Many thanks!!
Bob

Craigslist? Ebay? Local used music store?

Thanks RedJoker!
I posted on eBay just after this Forum, but hadn't mentioned it.
And yes....have sold on Craigslist before and "forgot" about it.
Thanks for the reminder!

Awesome! I just sold a car on Ebay and it's an interesting experience. The car I sold was a Shelby Cobra replica that I built. I decided to put it on ebay because, though its not exactly a rare car, there isn't a Kelley Blue Book value for it either. I also didn't want to post on Craigslist and deal with a bunch of local yahoos "test driving" it. Good or bad, Ebay is the best place I know to find out the TRUE market value for things, not just what we think they are worth.

To my surprise, I got almost twice what I would have accepted before posting. Usually, we think things are worth more than they are, not the other way around.

Carbon Fiber guitars move pretty quickly here. Give it a little time.

Also Reverb is a newer site that is well regarded though I have never used them.

Hey Bob, I looked at your ad because I'm thinking of adding a 14 fret RS parlor to my 12 fret P12, but your asking price of $1600 is too high in my opinion. Retail on the P14 is $2666 which would put used value at no more than $1333, and more likely $1200. FYI, there are new P14's in the discontinued solid color being offered at $1600 by Sam Ash and LA Guitar Sales. I say instead of looking for another venue, lower the price.

Good luck, and I hope you don't mind my comment.

Agreed with the above. Price is well above market for a used Rainsong Parlor given that brand new models with a warranty can be had for a tiny bit more.

Bob,

I saw your ad and posted on it. It's a lovely guitar, but I have to completely agree with Andy above. From what I saw recently, I would expect that guitar to sell around $1300, give or take a little. I wish you luck… I think it will sell.

the above comments are correct, I had a Parlor I sold pretty quickly but I think I was at $1350.

Bob and you other CF owners,

New to the forum and first post. I live in AZ and while I don't have anything special as far as guitars go I worry about leaving them out. I am a perpetual beginner but have had a renewed interest lately, playing a little everyday now for awhile. I have tried to find a guitar that I would feel comfortable leaving out to remind me to just pick it up and play. Hence my interest in a CF guitar. I have watched your posting from its beginning but felt that it was a little out of range for price but as a first time poster didn't feel it was my place to say something like this. If you are willing to come down (and I can slip this past my wife as a necessary purchase) I am interested at the price range these other posters are stating. Now I know AndyFrank showed interest as well so talk to him first otherwise let me know.

KJ - I haven't kept up with the for-sale listing so I can't speak to that. I bought my used Rainsong P12 for $1,499, and my used Rainsong Shorty SFT for about the same price. I would have paid more, but when I amortize an extra couple hundred bucks over the coming years of enjoyment, it works out to very little extra per day. Not unlike how I justified buying a (very) good mattress recently, for example: they're expensive, but the daily cost over years of use is miniscule.
