I've got quite a few straps from different makers that I like, but a brand to consider is Walker & Williams. Great quality and great prices.

I've got three W&W straps, and will most likely order another one soon. (No affiliation.)

I have several of this type from Sully.

https://sullysstraps.com/products/guitarbanjo-1001/

Mine are wider at the shoulder strap, but you get the idea. Softest leather strap, meticulously made. Very high quality.

I bought one from Sully also. Absolutely beautiful leather. I have no regrets.

I bought my strap in a shop in Louisville KY many years ago. So no links to it or anything but I will say that if you are not opposed to it for what ever reasons, leather is by far the best strap. And you should expect to pay quite a bit for it. It took a year to break in but now it slips on and fits like a glove.

I've been looking for a new strap and recently found Ethos Leather in Oklahoma. I'm about to order this strap. Looks gorgeous!
Called the Fillmore. It's $99 but first time buyers get a 15% discount.

I'm the OP.

Thanks, Beach, for the link to Walker and Williams. Beautiful straps, reasonable prices. I just ordered this one, I think the color will go nicely with my new faded brown SG.

I have two 4"ers and two 2.5"ers. 4" black/brown with straplocks for Strat, 4" black/black for bass, 2.5" caramel/brown for D28, 2.5 dark brown/brown for 000-15M. Thick chunks, nice and soft now but took a pretty long break-in. No thread fraying so far after a few years. Not too pricey if you catch the right sale. I love mine.

These are the ones I like best! Currently have three and will get another couple when I get around to it (a black one for the Ibanez RG and something to match a sunburst Strat).

No link I'm afraid but some advice.

Whatever you get, don't buy one with a chrome buckle for length adjustment, it knocks dinks out of your guitar whenever it's not being worn.

Unfortunately I know this from experience.

my best ones were hand made 30 years ago and that person no longer makes them. they were so well made that they have lasted this long with no problems.

play music!

That's the exact same one that I got for my Ric 360.

Congrats, you're gonna love it!

Assuming it's leather you're after, I've encountered none finer than Brookwood. Bob builds his straps to order, and the specs are nearly limitless.

El Dorado straps

They also sell straps without metal buckles, but this is the one I've got.
