Default NGD: Taylor 324e SEB

Hey AGF! It's 60 in Chicago today, and life is good! Here is my new Taylor 324e SEB. I sold a recent 320 I had gotten in order to get a GA to compliment my dread, and also really wanted the shaded edge burst. I really like the hog top 300 series Taylors, and this guitar is really great! You also may notice the beautiful tortoise pickguard I put on to replace the stock black one. It's another fine example of the great work Taylor does at Holter Pickguards making custom beveled and polished pickguards ([email protected]). I guess you could say there's an awful lot of "Taylor" in this guitar - which is cool by me. I think I'll go play it now.

Taylor (and other makers) make plenty of guitars with tons of "bling" but I still think this is one of the nicest looking guitars out there. I really like the 300s with mahogany tops and especially the shaded edgeburst. A very classic look, and you know it just has to sound better, too.

It's a "lower" line aesthetically, but I think the mahogany-topped 3xx's are some of the best-sounding Taylors made.

Totally agree although I'd change the word "aesthetically" to "numerically."

I mean in terms of "bling" and etcetera... so yeah, aesthetics would be subjective.

Right there with ya. I'm pretty partial to the Taylor sound, but I just love what these hog tops bring to the table.
