Counting Crows Guitarist David Bryson
Saw them last night. Great alt-rock band. Really enjoyed guitarist David Bryson. He played a different guitar almost every song, mostly old Gibsons (including a 60 year old Les Paul & 2 acoustic J-something's, sorry don't know my Js!)
But I especially enjoyed it when he played this. Loved the throaty sound.

Satellite amp. Very cool. Love Bryson and wish he got to do more. Interesting show in Columbus. Huber Heights / Dayton set list was amazing!

Anyone else a "Rig Rundown" junky like me? I've watch every single one and Premier Guitar needs to do more.

Jpjr50, I confess to watching these too. I don't play plugged in, but I'm a geek when it comes to electronics and technology - just love to see how things work. Also love to see these really awesome players geeking out the same way.
And I agree about the set list at the Rose. I've seen CC play all over the place for the last 20 years, but the show in Huber Heights was one of the best. I describe them as impressionist artists painting aural images. Does that make sense? Bryson is super talented. While the others are running around showing off (in a good way of course!) , he just competently weaves it all together. Like the baritone in a barbershop quartet. Nothing stands out, but if he were missing, there would be a huge hole. Can anyone educate me on his acoustics? Both J-45s?
