I try to keep it simple.
Acoustic : Circa 00 cutaway Pickup : LR Baggs Anthem Amp : Humphrey acoustic I then run the amp mix out through whatever board being used depending on who I'm playing with to get the sound out through the main channel, and I use the Humphrey as more of a monitor. Electric : Chad Underwood '52 Telecaster black guard copy Amp : either a Carr Rambler or a Carr Mercury (no pedals really needed) Amp Mic : Sure Beta SM57 run to the board being used. If we use my board, it's a Mackie Onyx 16 channel. My buddy has a Beringer and my other buddy has an older Mackie 12 channel. Mains are either JBL, Fender, Peavy or Mackie depending on the rig. Crown Amps drive the whole setup. This setup seems to work well for me. YMMV.

Earlier in the year there was a long discussion about Humphrey amps. I have a friend near by that let me play his for an afternoon. From there I came to the conclusion that although many chase their tails endlessly over pickup choices the Humphrey was one of those ah-ha moments where I realized just how much an amp like this helps with live acoustic guitar sounds. Much, much more so than the difference between acoustic guitar pickups.
If it were me (and I know it's not) I'd do virtually everything in my power to mic that Humphrey as part of my "main" sound. Reducing it to being just a monitor seems like such a titanic waste. I'd want that glorious sound "out front" for sure |

Powered by a Boss adapter.
Fender GDEC jr Carbon (the one in the pic is my old one that Fender replaced) Will be getting a Acoustic amp or PA and Mixer in the future. Simon and Patrick Woodland Parlor Pro with KK Pickup. Believe it or not but this setup sounds pretty sweet.

Generally speaking I will do the following:
Taylor 814ce Yamaha EMX 312 sc At home still in the learning curve I will throw in the Harmony G xt between the two. It has been a long while back, but I use to use the T5 into a solid state amp with an ABY box into the PA as well. I may have to set that back up just to have a little fun.

Back To Basics
OM Larrivee -->
Baggs M1 --> Baggs PADI --> House PA or Band's PA or SoloAmp for solo shows. There's also a K&K mini installed in the Larrivee, but I've unwired it; I originally planned to hook up the two pups stereo, but, really, the M1 is the best suited pup for my hard-driving rhythm playing. And I also have a couple other DI boxes that I've fooled with and need to sell, and tho I often mess with more pedals and equalizers here at home, inevitably I revert to simplicity on stage. If I were a fingerstyle picker playing quiet venues I'd still be motivated to use a more complicated, nuanced system, but at this point I'm happy with "good enough", and, really, the current Baggs setup sounds a heck of a lot better than some big name acts I've seen. |

Bill Tippin OMT with PUTW #54 SBT and Joe Mills internal mic. I often use an external condenser mic, an Oktava MC-012 with hypercardioid capsule, instead of the internal mic.
Rack with Pendulum Audio SPS-1, TC Electronics M2000 effect unit (connected to the SPS-1 through the effects loop) and Bryston 3BST power amp. Pair Daedalus W-803 3-way passive speakers on sticks. Ultrasound 50E on amp stand for monitor. Fairly compact. Three trips to vehicle with cart. 20 minute setup. 15 minute teardown. Sounds delicious and is well behaved. SR Technology Jam 150 Plus as an alternative for certain gigs. |

My setup is very basic and pretty bare bones. Olson SJ with K and K mini to Baggs Pari DI to the house. Using Aviom in ears for a monitor. Sounds very good to my ear and easy to setup.

Right now my live rig is:
Santa Cruz D guitar, Dimarzio angel magnetic soundhole pickup, red eye preamp (send to amp/pa) I have an aer compact 60 I use the most for guitar and vocals. I also have a fishman loudbox (single channel, 100 watt) in my rehearsal studio that I would love to take out on a gig with a band, but I have yet to have that big gig...
