Default Gig Friday Nov 13 in Arlington Heights, IL

I found a nice restaurant that is doing music on Fridays and Saturdays. And I got me an evening there. The place is Bobby Qs on Rand Rd in Arlington Heights. It's a cozy family owned bar-b-q place. It should be convenient for my homies who can't seem to get up for travel around the big city. So, I'm hoping we'll get a nice crowd. There's no liquor, so the heckling should be kept to a minimum

Here's a Youtube of me (shot on the Zi8 camera) at place in Roselle.

I'll be at NERFA that weekend, but do let me know how it goes (and whether I might have a shot at a gig there)

Don't know much about their music presentations, Sandy. Obviously I'll learn more. Merve Collins told me about the place and it's close to my home, so I though I'd give it a try. They do open mic/song circles on 2nd & 4th Sunday afternoons. That's when I went and button-holed the Owner. She's quite nice. Because it's so close I'm expecting a buncha friends to show up. We'll see.

There's no PA. And no pay. I'm gong to bring my little Schertler David for the room, and plug in a guitar and mic. Normally they have no amplification, I'm told.

I'm also going to ask musical friends that show up to get up and do a number

What time are you playing, Marshall?

I'm on the road this week and not sure what the wife has planned for Friday. If the schedule's free, I'd love to make the short trip down!
