Gig Friday Nov 13 in Arlington Heights, IL
I found a nice restaurant that is doing music on Fridays and Saturdays. And I got me an evening there. The place is Bobby Qs on Rand Rd in Arlington Heights. It's a cozy family owned bar-b-q place. It should be convenient for my homies who can't seem to get up for travel around the big city. So, I'm hoping we'll get a nice crowd. There's no liquor, so the heckling should be kept to a minimum

Don't know much about their music presentations, Sandy. Obviously I'll learn more. Merve Collins told me about the place and it's close to my home, so I though I'd give it a try. They do open mic/song circles on 2nd & 4th Sunday afternoons. That's when I went and button-holed the Owner. She's quite nice. Because it's so close I'm expecting a buncha friends to show up. We'll see.
There's no PA. And no pay. I'm gong to bring my little Schertler David for the room, and plug in a guitar and mic. Normally they have no amplification, I'm told. I'm also going to ask musical friends that show up to get up and do a number
