Still planning to attend and bring a guitar and food, but not sure if will be able to bring my L1 Model II as I have rented it out and am not sure whether I will have it back in time. I can borrow an L1 Classic from my church and bring it if anyone is interested.

Touche' Wasn't sure whether it would be handy/available for the gathering. Regardless, I just found out I'll have my Model II as well.

Looking forward to it!

Oh yes, I will be there in tow with Jeff and my J-200. Going to try to track down a snack to bring: cheese plate, cookies, something. Getting excited to meet some new players. Maybe you guys can improve my bad playing.

The DC/VA/MD is always such a great time... makes me wish I still lived in the area. Perhaps I should just start a Nashville area get-together and try to recreate the DC/VA/MD magic

We want to see pictures after the event!

Hey since all you guys are gathered in this thread, I had a Kluson tuner on my J-200 go south on me today. Can you recommend someone to install some Waverly's on my Gibson in DC? Don't want to take it to the wrong guy, you know the type I am talking about.

Thanks,
Ryan

Ryan

the Guitar Center off Rockville Pike can be an annoying place overall, however, a luhier/guitar tech named Walter Johns leases space there and I have found him to be excellent.

Any experience with repair work from Chuck Levin or Stancills Guitar Studio?

I am going to go to both places today to check them out.

Ryan

No relevant experience with Chuck Levins or Stancills. You could also try House of Musical Traditions in Tacoma Park. I think Steve Carmody does theri work and he has a pretty good reputation too.

I don't have repair experience with Chuck Levin's, but I don't doubt their quality of service - they are a great organization and I'd feel comfortable taking my guitar there for work.

I trust Jim Warwick with all of my repairs.
