Best for the money? Probably an electric. An Epiphone Wilshire I picked up for $125 from MF years ago. They listed it as "inoperable, requires repairs, no signal output". Physically, it was fine. I ordered it, soldered the ground wire on the jack in about 30 seconds and had a guitar that turned out **** fun to play for 1/4 of it's normal price and 5 minutes work to take off the pickguard, solder the jack and put it back together.
