Hey Steve. Not sure it's had a color effect at all. I have seen some finished guitars which seem to have an early onset patina like Sitka after many years but none with any mineral streaking like one would see in Sinker Redwood. The set for my guitar looks pretty much like regular Sitka with nice silking. I'll have to consult with Bill and ask his experience.
