I prefer 9's but I've got 10's on my Telecaster to compensate for the Bigsby.
I tried 11's once but it felt like I'd moved from guitar to bass territory. Also bigger strings might suite lead playing but I don't think they work as well for any sort of rhythm/strumming playing is my experience.
Subjective of course.
