Interestingly enough, all the headstocks narrow towards the top in this catalog(ue), so it seems that was Yamaha's characteristic design which they changed shortly afterwards.
I'm having trouble wiping the grin off my face. I REALLY wanted this info and am SO grateful to Moga for digging this stuff out.
You can see that they are scanned actual catalog(ue)s. All I now need is the translation from the 1974 one for my guitar. . . er Moga !!!
