Default Guild Orpheum 12-Fret Slope Jumbo TRADED

Beautiful 2013 Guild Orpheum 12 Fret Slope guitar. The Orpheum series was Ren Ferguson's custom shop line of guitars. These represented the epitome of Guild design and construction techniques.

The Slope 12-Fret is very similar to a "Roy Smeck" style guitar with a large body and a comfortable short scale 12-Fret neck. With the bridge moved more into the "sweet spot" of the guitar body, the tone is rich and almost piano like.

Scale length is 24.75", bone nut, saddle and pins, ebony fret board and bridge, 12" radius, C shape neck contour and 1.8" neck width at nut. The back and side wood is mahogany and the top is Red Spruce. The guitar is all hide glue construction and features Red Spruce bracing.

The Orpheum is extremely light and responsive, allowing anything from delicate finger style passages to loud aggressive alternate picking. This is an extremely versatile guitar that is at home on the porch and stage. It fits into almost any genre of music due to it's dry full tone.

Original white button (Guild) tuners were replaced with the same model Gotoh with nickel buttons. The originals will ship with the guitar. No drilling or modifications were done in the process.

Guitar is without nick, gouge or blemish. Frets are in beautiful condition and the guitar plays without buzz or intonation issues. Action is set quite low and the saddle is abundant.

Asking $2600.00
Trade Value $3000.00

Here it is next to a Roy Smeck
