That's a good recording

I've definitely got a lot of respect for the best guitars which Squier make. It's not rocket science: pick some decent materials and put them together well and you've got a good electric guitar. Flavour with the pickups of your choosing.

Don't get too hung up on lead guitar skills. It's much more important to know how to play the right note at the right time than it is to play fast. You can always do much more than you think you can - provided you put the hours in to practice and have the patience to stick it out.
