As part of the irony, I picked up an RCF Art 708A last week for the places I
consider the Pro8 overkill or to supplement the Pro8. I considered.
the ZLX 8P but wanted nothing to do with that EV DSP and app. The 708A
sounds wonderful and would be an alternative to the ZLX-8P. But you
already have become comfortable with the EV app....go for it.
I still cannot imagine the Everse 8 + ZLX 8P would be easier than the solo 30M.

I too went full circle: I used a Pro8 for a couple of years (and always felt that it just wasn't
enough) and recently ditched it for a K8.2. The difference is night and day and I can't believe how much better it sounds!
OP I know that QSC has a small sale on their speakers right now, as does Yamaha, through Sweetwater etc. The ZLX 8P seems like a great solution, but maybe there's a good deal on the other brands right now.
