I like the way engineers approach an art such as guitar-making - they blend a scientific postulation/trial/error/feed-back loop into their work. Tim McKnight seems to explore alternatives the same way.
I did visit the Yamamoto website and sent him a link to this thread. Hoping to learn something, but content just to enjoy it!
