Got my GS yesterday and gave it a test... Silky smooth action, love the neck. Best Taylor I've played. Initially came with light strings and in comparison to my Larrivee d05 mahogany it was very transparent, clear midrange and very nice high end. I'll have to say that the Larrivee more than holds its own, sound of the Taylor maybe better on the clarity and definition end but the Larrivee was better on low end which was surprising to me. I then changed out the Taylor to medium elixirs and the guitar responded much better. Still get the clarity and transparency of the guitar but have some low end which I personally prefer. Playing through a Genz Benz (have a L.r. Baggs I-Mix installed) and notice there is little or no coloration to the guitars sound with this setup. Absolutely thrilled with the sound & I've had some very nice guitars. I'll probably end up selling my Larrivee and purchasing a McPherson with a redwood top to compliment this fine guitar!
