String suggestions
Although I am not familiar with that model, I looked at some photos of it on Google. Dreadnought, spruce top, but no idea what the back and sides are made of. It's an inexpensive guitar, so they are probably laminate. This is OK, Yamaha makes quite nice guitars.
I would recommend Martin medium-light gauge SP4150 phosphor bronze strings. They will sound good and will last a long time.
