I played my Shorty next to the Parlor a few days ago at Macnichol's shop. The Shorty, as you probably already know, is essentially the same as your hybrid OM, except it has the unidirectional top, and a 12-fret neck. I think the Parlor holds up very well. It had a bit less bass, but I had light/medium strings on my Shorty, so it's probably not a fair comparison. It sounds surprisingly similarly, particularly the 12-fret parlor model. I was not as impressed with the 14-fret parlor, but I am kind of used to the sound of my Shorty, so I'm guessing that colored my opinion.

I think, for the size, it is a very impressive guitar. I like the sound of it much more than the Cargo or the X7-os. It's obviously larger, but not by that much. As many have said, I think they have a gem on their hands, and I think they're going to have their hands full with Parlor orders before too long.
Nice. If MacNichol decides to carry Elixir Strings, I think we will have some better side-by-side comparisons. The Shorty excels with medium Elixir PB strings. As we know already, medium strings give a fuller, richer sound to any guitar.

Kramster, thanks for the pictures! Be sure to include some of the new audio equipment.
