I have the same amp. I replaced that crapy stock speaker with the stock Fender speaker from a Hot Rod Deluxe amp. Cant remember the exact name of the speaker.
I cant believe they would use such a sub-standard speaker in those amps. Replacing it with anything results in a huge improvement in tone.
