Ok, got my song sheet put together with the right chords and timing. I checked out a couple of videos on You Tube (don't judge) to ensure I had my timing and strum pattern correct and the intro riff tabbed correctly.

Now I'll work through the song - its got an F chord - I just recently nailed down barre chords so no problem playing it but getting to the barre chord fingering position quickly is a challenge for me. I may have the use my "lazy man's G chord" fingering (300003) to assist with the quick changes into and out of the F barre chord.

Toad's "Something's Always Wrong" is in a high key on the record - capo at 6th. That's higher than I can even attempt to sing, but it seems like I can adjust the capo and the song holds up in a lower key. I'll find the key I like without lowering it too much from the recording.

I should have this in recognizable shape by the end of the weekend.
