I have a Taylor 555 in which I installed a Fishman Rare Earth Blend. I haven't even experimented yet with the microphone placement because it's position after the luthier installed the PU sounded so good, I haven't wanted to mess with it! Right now the blender is set for equal pickup and mike. The only effect I use for this guitar is just a hint of reverb. I agree with franchelB though any good quality 12 sounds good plugged in!
