Only thing I don't like about the standard tele is the lack of contours on the body. I find it a bit uncomfortable sitting and playing.
The Fender American Telecaster has a belly contour I believe.

Yes they do have the contour since at least 2012. I have an American Standard Tele (candy cola) and has it.
