yes, besides special situations, also for me stnadard tuning seems to be the best ways. The last days I saw again some "hitters and knockers" on special tuned guitars....
First Thing, that comes to ear: there is never a melody to be found.
Second: in most cases, the players are not able to notably change chords and harmonies, because with the hittings and knockings they need the open strings and so they donīt have much changes to change the harmony, not to talk about a real key-change....
