I stopped watching news and reading the newspaper nearly 20 years ago... I just realized that I never felt very good after ingesting the media's version of what was important.
So, I stopped. Nowadays, social media makes it more difficult to not get sucked in to some adverse drama, but at the same time, if something's SO IMPORTANT that all my friends are commenting on it, then I'll check it out.
It is quite difficult to get the facts on any issue without having to deal with whatever "slant" the source is putting on the story...
Oh... by the way? I feel a LOT better when I'm not involved with "headlines" every day...
