I grew up on a glossy Gibson Dove neck.
Didn't bother me cuz i didn't know satin was an option.
Actually, didn't really notice until I got a D21 Special with a very obvious satin neck, which i really fell in love with.
Granted, I do have a glossy neck on a Martin custom D28 red spruce guitar that's just fine and dandy.
I guess I've just loved to bring up the D21 Special as a youngster with a satin neck to the gloss that it currently has.
I mean, it doesn't stay satin forever, right ZabDart ?
So, your only inconvenienced for a short period of time ?
I once was thinking to make the neck satin again, but I've totally thrown that thought out of my mind.
If its not a sticky glossy then its good.
But the thing is, some of the Gibson glossies do tend toward sticky.
I wonder why ?
