Default removing an endpin - martin d-16gt

what's the proper/best way to remove an endpin from a martin? I might want to get the Martin Ebony set of bridge pins and end pin for it.

I put the original endpin in myself, sanded it a bit, and pushed it in with my thumb, but it's in there pretty good, definitely is fit in there nice and tight.

What should i do to take it out?

Note: Thanks to whoever moved this thread for me!
