Not being a classical player, but more a folk and pop kinda guy, I did a lot of experimenting with string combinations for my Cordoba Gypsy King guitar.
I finally settled on a wound third to gracefully transition from the B to D strings. By that I mean sound and feel is pretty seamless. Here's what I ended up with:
1st: Savarez Alliance KF 541J - 1st string (e), high tension .0252
2nd: Savarez Alliance KF 542J - 2nd string (b) high tension .0280
3rd: Savarez Traditional 527R - 3rd string (g), high tension
4th: Savarez Corum 504J - 4th string (D) high tension .0299
5th: Savarez Corum 505J - 5th string (A) high tension .0358
6th: Savarez Corum 506J - 6th string (E) high tension .0441
