Without a doubt, my 1979 Mark Angus F-40 _ built for me by Mark, from a template of a Guild F-40. Turns out that size/shape is what many manufacturers/builders call their "Mini-Jumbo", Grand Symphony (Taylor), Concert Jumbo (Goodall).

My Angus is German Black Forest spruce over maple, with a Florentine cutaway... my one and ONLY 6 string acoustic for 32 years of gigging, recording, performing and writing!

When Mark built it for me, I pleaded "very little $$$" and asked for a plain, "workingman's" guitar; nothing fancy, just a great sounding and playing guitar... he delivered IN SPADES!

I paid $800, including a hard shell case... 4 years later, I had the opportunity to buy Mark's first 12 string (#58, 1983); he offered it to me for the SAME PRICE I paid for my 6 string and I found a way to buy it... had to pay the music store in which his shop was located another 20%, per his agreement with them, but that still made it only $960...

I'd say I got my money's worth!

Here they are!

My two Angus acoustics are my main "go-to" stage and travel guitars...
