I don't believe the Zoom will hurt your sound. It will help to restore the true sound of your guitar as it sounds without amplification. Between choosing the correct guitar type and the corresponding model in the first effect position, selecting the correct pickup type on the side of the unit, and finding an appropriate mix of the dry and wet signals, I think you will like what you hear.
