In some ways, it doesn't. It doesn't really "add" anything of its own to the sound, which is kinda the goal of a good pick. What you get is the ability to pull out whatever the guitar and strings have to offer.
Obviously, you hear the sound change as you switch from a thinner pick but that is mostly the removal of all the sonic artifacts the thin picks brought into the mix.
What I want to hear is well defined single notes, high degree of clarity, a lot of power available in chords, and control as if the pick is part of my hand. I get all those with the CLP Flame.
