have you heard of Shane Barnard? He is an amazing guitarist who uses the cut capo quite often. You might be able to learn a few more unusual cut capo chords by watching his videos or listening and playing his music. Try listening to "The Answer" or "Name's Sake". i know those two songs use the cut capo with some interesting voicings.
