IT seems pretty clear that the EAE D6-8 is the best currently available, relatively small and costly, battery powered amp. Even the AER compact mobile doesn’t have the Front end that gets close and it costs twice as much. The Bose S1 is an interesting amp that does a lot of things well but it’s ultimately a good $200 overpriced. The Fishman LBX Mini Charge is a good choice too but it’s not a very full featured amp for what it costs either.

If you’re going less expensive, the Mackie Freeplay is the box to beat (albeit at its refurb price). All of that said, every one of these amps has room for improvement. The EAE probably has the fewest detractions of any of them.
