Since they do have strings for the snare, I thought this topic might belong here. Went to a bluegrass jam Saturday, and in addition to the usual Martin dreads, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, and upright bass, there was a fellow playing a cajon for the percussion. Really sounded great with the rest of the acoustic instruments. It's the first time I have seen somebody play one of these close-up, and I wondered, are there any guitar players here with no drum expertise who have tried to play one of these?
