I'm finally up and running ...or just about. There are three Kontakt piano VSTs that I couldn't get to work and I have a support ticket in to get that sorted. But other than that, I'm pretty happy right now.
The issue I had with the Akitio Thunderbay 3 4-bay ssd housing was simply a bad unit and bad luck. The new one is working flawlessly and is very fast. I also picked up a 4tb external drive that I'm using as a backup drive.
Pretty awesome!
