It is hard to find reliable and consistent info on Framus from the past. Lack
of internet in those days has allowed details to slip away. And there is some
information in that link given earlier that is wrong or lacking full accuracy.

I had a sunburst archtop Framus (no electronics) for over 20 years, but sold
it about a year ago. Was a beautiful and fascinating attention-getter, but
honestly it never had the voice I was looking for from such an instrument. It
was built in Bavaria in 1973 and about 15 years age when aquired.
