I also removed the pick guard on mine. I replaced it with a tortoise Martin type guard.
It looks a lot better to me now.

By the way strings will be a topic that new owners of Baritone guitars will want to discuss.
So far I have only tried the D'Addario Baritone strings that came on the guitar new and a set of Martin Cleartone strings.
I like the Cleartone strings better. They feel softer.
On a recommendation from a forum member, I changed out the second string [F# .020 plain] string for a wound 0.22 string.
I really like the results. The wound second string is a lot easier to fret and the tone is improved IMHO.

I will also try a set of D'Addario heavy PB strings and tune the Baritone C to C one of these days. This will help tighten up the bottom end sound, which can get muddy when strummed.
