The stored loops are neat in the 720 but there's no way to use it for entire songs. 1 bar practice tool IMHO.

Interesting, I have not heard of the delay issue with the 720. My friend owns one and loves it. I do own the ditto and ditto x2 and would not recommend them. Both of them have stopped working and honestly, you just can't trust them.
I wish a company other than TC would release a simple to use looper with the option to record a verse & chorus part of a song. Presets would be nice but they are not mandatory. I just find that with the 720 or ditto x2, having only one loop is limiting.
