Smile MARTIN D-35 GUITAR and Original Case 1975 SOLD LOCALLY

MARTIN D-35 GUITAR and Original Case 1975

This is a fine example of what 41 years of aging will do for a mid-70s Martin D-35 as to tone and sustain, a deep, ringing sound that cannot be duplicated by newer models resonating throughout the inner soundbox chamber walls. The tone delivery is fantastic and just keeps on coming! The 1/4" bracing accentuates the bass notes while the trebles exude bell like highs.

Aged east Indian rosewood back and sides, golden brown patina top of solid sitka spruce, original Grover tuners, bound fingerboard, 1-11/16" nut width, superb action of 3/32" and 5/64" at the 12th fret, ebony fretboard and bridge, bone bridge pins, and is freshly strung with EJ17 D'Addario medium strings. There is an endpin jack but I do not know if it is hooked up or not.

The only issue is a 25 year old repair on the lower left bout on the back which is difficult to see without angled lighting. It has long been stable since then but the finish is rippled. A photo is included of the area which is relegated to being simply cosmetic at this point. There are a few dings commensurate for its age here and there (top rear of headstock), along with finish checking on the top. The frets have light wear on the first 3 or 4 frets under the high E and B strings. This classic 70s jewel of an instrument comes with its original fiberglass blue Martin case with dark blue inner lining that is in very good to excellent condition for its age, very clean, has some light minor oxidation of the latches (all 5 are working and the handle is tight), see photos. The pickguard is the original with NO signs of lifting, shrinkage crack under the B string, nor curl which is very unusual.

$SOLD plus $75 shipping to CONUS from northern CA.
