I also have a "Vintage" Legacy AE. It has a very good tone, and puts up well with hard strumming. One of the key benefits for me is that it's immune to temperature and humidity changes. Last Thursday night I took it to the bay with some friends; I only had to tune up once at the beginning; my buddy who was playing (another brand) kept going out of tune every 15 minutes or so.

Nice to be able to use Windex to clean it off, too.

I hear they're working on integrating the bridge with the top, so it's all one piece. I can only imagine what that'd do for the (already good) sustain.

Pat, just curious, did you stay with the factory-installed Elixirs? I'd like to try out some other strings but don't have a good idea where to start.
